AHFC Fundraiser Success!!

The initial AHFC fundraiser and exhibition of the Image-In project was very well received with support of the seamless partnership and hard work of many volunteers to make the event a huge success! I second Steve Williams'
(AHFC V.P.) sincere
adulation in that the event was very fruitful and went beyond all of our expectations. The funds raised and the awareness created will provide much needed provisions and future support directly to AHFC’s kids in need. Thanks so much to everyone who either supported the cause, attended the fundraiser and/or made donations to AHFC!!
Furthermore, below is an excerpt to the Ranch Santa Fe Times newspaper from Steve Williams:
Sent: Monday, May 25, 2009
Although many of us were treading in unknown territory in the planning and preparation of A Heart for Children’s (AHFC) first fund raising event, all the months of hard work by many volunteers paid off. I was humbled and inspired to see so many people take heart and so freely invest their time to make this event become a reality. We raised a much needed $12,000.00 and brought awareness to many people who now understand the children’s call for help in Southeast Asia and how AHFC makes it so easy for them to make a personal impact in the lives of so many children for so little. For starters, these funds will be used to replace the roof of a large orphanage facility in Bali where over a hundred children now sleep two and three to a cot and are constantly awakened by water falling on them during the night. AHFC serves as an outreach organization bringing much needed aid to orphaned and abandoned children throughout Southeast Asia. With your donation, we are ready to act on a most immediate needs basis which often times translates in to saving lives and circumventing child trafficking. Please visit the first draft of our new website,
http://www.aheartforchildren.org/, and God bless you as consider how you might help us in this very worth while mission. It’s all about the children….
Very Best, Steve Williams - VP, A Heart for Children

Image-in Photo Website Launched

At long last, I have finally completed the cataloging of hundreds of images and posting to the brand new image websiste: www.evenkielprod.com/Image-In%20Bali%202008/
This newly launched flash site has an integrated shopping cart, guestbook and Balinese music in additional to the beautiful and inspiring images. Please visit the site and take a first look and provide feed back and your much needed support . The next step is to publicly exhibit images and raise proceeds to return to the kids I worked with in Bali late last year. This phase of the project will help promote and further support the May fundraiser for the non-profit group "A heart for Children" which will raise additional funds for the cause to provide housing, food, clothes and education to Bali kids in need. Thanks again for your support... Enjoy!!!

Nominated "Everyday Hero" by Primeco Education

I am very honored to have been elected by Primeco Consulting as an "everyday hero" in their Jan 2009 newsletter for recognition of the Image-in Project. Many thanks to their support and the valuable training I received from participating in the "Bravehearts Program". The excerpt from the newsletter article as follows:

Change starts when someone sees the next step. -William Drayton

Kurt Kiel is this month’s Everyday Hero and you are about to see why. In January of 2008, Kurt started his journey through our Bravehearts Leadership Development Training program. As the month’s passed by I saw Kurt take on a whole new life for himself. He started to step outside of his normal routines; he started looking at where..... Read More...

Seeds of Change

January 03, 2009

Indra & Dan,
As you can see from the before & after images, I am really moved me to see the “seeds of change” and witness the growth of the Darsinni Family's onion crop where we all once stood as unproductive soil during my visit. I am very pleased they carried through with it and want to give you much deserved recognition for orchestrating its success. I will definitely share the progress through my project blog. Hopefully their irrigation issues are resolved so that they have water to maintain the crop. Attached is a picture of the farm pre-crop.

Take care, blessings to you all!
